Committees:

Ag Literacy:
Volunteers help the children in our schools gain a better understanding and respect for agriculture. By educating our students, we hope to teach the children not only about food production and the role of farmers and agriculture in our society, but also about careers in agriculture. Our goal is to bring together farmers, volunteers and educators in order to bring agriculture into all kindergarten through high school classrooms.

Commodities & Marketing:
The committee works with the local U of I Extension office, FSA, Soil and Water Conservation District, and other ag lenders to provide programs for our members. The committee also works to promote agricultural commodities at local events.

Local Affairs:
The Local Affairs and Viewpoint Committee sets a program of work for the year for the purpose staying informed of what is happening locally in our county. Committee members attended meeting of other area organizations as well as county board meetings to help carry out the goals of the committee.

Communications & Promotions:
Volunteers from all of the CFB committees help with promoting the CFB.  The purpose and goals are to communicate to the general public about agriculture and agricultural issues, educate through programs and activities, and to promote the CFB and its activities.

Member Relations:
The purpose of the membership committee is to input leadership and direction in CFB programs, services, and benefits. They also help with member acquisition.

Prime Timers:
This committee offers educational and social programs to meet the needs and interests of men and women who are Farm Bureau members aged 55 and older.  There is usually an activity once a month.

Women's Committee
The purpose of the Women’s Committee is to contribute to the overall effectiveness of the organization by educating the public about Farm Bureau programs as well as educating the public on agricultural commodities programs. The Women’s Committee also provides social opportunities for Farm Bureau lady members.

Wildlife Committee:
They work with other organizations to promote wildlife efforts in our county and surrounding areas.  The committee also helps with hunter safety courses.

Young Leaders:

This committee is just starting up and looking for prospective members.  The goal of the group would be to help the community, teach younger generations about agriculture, and test our knowledge about agriculture subjects at state events competing against other county YL groups.
